ATHLETIC BACKGROUND
Began swimming at age 8
and was on U.S. swim team by age 11. Specialty was 200M
backstroke. Did first triathlon at age 13 and began winning her age
group regularly at local and regional triathlons. First tried out for
Worlds in 1999. Throughout high school was Captain of track and
swim teams and lettered all 4 years. Local Athletic All-American.
Member of Cycle Club at UMass Amherst. Was racing as an age group
athlete until 2003. Began racing Elite/Pro in September, 2003.
Won the 2003 under-23 “race to Athens” series and is the 2004 Collegiate
National Champion.
